Without neglecting what is already underway in Cuenca, and aboard our old Van, we want to sow 1000 SEEDS of hope throughout South America. A thousand people who will receive a message of hope, an impulse to move forward looking at life in a different way.

We have spent a long, long time getting everything ready in Cuenca so that we will not be missed too much in these months that we will be far away, and now, finally, we are calm and happy. The foundation is still going on and in the best hands: The team of collaborators and volunteers who have been with us for years.
– The art and values classes for 36 children (21 from Cuenca and 15 from El Salado) are fully operational,
– Educational and recreational activities for 7 young children continue to operate,
– And, crucially, there remains the food support for 29 vulnerable families, who will continue to receive, each, 33 pounds of food every two weeks,
– As always, the workshops on personal and emotional growth, health, and parenting continue.
We have also spent long days planning the places we are going to visit on our trip.

What are we proposing?

Here is part of what we are going to sow, with love and a lot of patience, in different places with disadvantaged populations, throughout this journey.

Values and painting classes for 12 groups of children
With the great collaboration of our dear Art Teacher, Nela Navarrine, we are going to fill with color the grayest places. There, where the children need a dose of hope the most, they will receive:
- A painting class
- An activity focused on values
- A snack
- The necessary materials so that they can continue painting connected weekly with Nela by Zoom, or continue by themselves.
A minimum of 180 children will receive this caress and the possibility to look at the world around them in a different way, to think for a moment about a better future, to be able to find in painting that necessary moment of forgetting the surrounding reality and building new capacities.
Workshops for mothers and talks for groups in vulnerable situations
Patty will offer a motivational workshop every week, in 12 locations, plus the daily contact we will have with the people we will meet along the route, to learn from each other and teach what we know, to share experiences, to change their world a little, and so that, in this way, we can continue to evaluate from the heart and close contact, where our next headquarters will be. A place where we can be useful and develop the same as in Cuenca.
It's not long to go, less than a month to start the trip!
We are very happy and anxious, we are still missing a little bit of everything, but we have plenty of ideas and desire to start.
