Fundación Núr completed its phase in Ecuador in June 2025.

This page reflects only a small part of what has been accomplished in Ecuador.

From October 2024 to April 2025, once it was confirmed that health reasons made it impossible to continue in the highlands of Cuenca, all activities were carefully and gradually wound down, leaving only a few projects that require continuity still in progress today.

At the same time, Patricia and Jorge, aboard the NurVan, set off in October 2024 and traveled 21,500 km across South America in search of a location for the new headquarters (in Peru, Chile, or Argentina). Living on wheels, in just 7 m², they crossed scorching and suffocating deserts in the north and endured sub-zero temperatures in Patagonia. Without ever losing their sense of humor, they overcame all the obstacles that arose (engine failure, various breakdowns, illnesses), while at the same time sowing seeds of love and understanding: classes for children and adults, meaningful conversations with dozens of people, visits to disadvantaged communities, radio appearances, and the dissemination of ideas and values that far exceeded the original plan of sowing “a thousand seeds.”

They harvested many new friends and hundreds of smiles and hugs, returning in March 2025 with hearts full of hope and anticipation for the future.

In April 2025, they flew directly to Chile to finish their exploration, figure out their immigration status, and make decisions. They came back to Ecuador in July to wrap up local activities, get the legal stuff sorted, and get ready to move.

Finally, in September 2025, they returned to the road, adding another 6,500 km aboard the Nurvan as they crossed the continent to the city of Temuco in southern Chile, where they began to consolidate their new project: Crecer con Núr (Growing with Núr).

In northern Chile, in Arica, Iquique, and Copiapó; in the center, in San Fernando, Chimbarongo, and Bulnes; and in the south, in Temuco and Vilcún, the seeds begin to sprout!

At Fundación NÚR we contribute to the personal development of children, adolescents, mothers and families at social risk, from an educational, formative and integrative perspective, so that they can be the protagonists of their own change.

In order to promote the progress of a community, the integral education of its members is vital.

We accompany the improvement of people’s living conditions through the execution of educational training actions in conjunction with social aid activities.
